The Congress Centre is located in the heart of Florence and is housed in a 18th century villa. The Auditorium can accomodate up to 1000 seats.
The Congress Centre is located within walking distance from the main Train Station, all hotels and main museums, and is only 4 km from the Florence International Airport.

Congress Scientific Structure
The congress will be organized in main sessions, symposia, round table discussions, oral and poster sessions and will be constantly updated in the congress web site.

Satellite Symposia and Other Sponsored Events
Industries are welcome to propose Satellite Symposia and other events by contacting the MSRM General Secretariat. A symposium will be specially dedicated to younger researchers “under 35”.

Poster Sessions
These sessions will provide an alternative opportunity to present research findings in a very visible way. Abstracts should be submitted following the instructions that will be indicated in the Preliminary Programme and in the conference web site. Posters should be 0.90m wide x 1.20m long (lenght vertically oriented). The title and authors should appear in bold lettering, and text and illustrations should be readable from a distance of 2 meters.

Exhibit
A commercial and scientific exhibit will be available to all registered participants wearing a congress badge. Companies and organizations wishing to obtain information should contact the MSRM 2009 Conference Secretariat.

Social Programme
The Social Programme in Florence will be memorable. It will include the Welcome Reception immediately after the Opening Ceremony, and a Gala Dinner for all who may be interested in participating.

Visa Regulations
All congress participants visiting Italy require a valid passport with the exception of EU nationals who may enter the country with a valid national ID card. To be certain of the current visa and passport requirements, participants should contact the Italian embassy in their country of origin. Should you require a letter of invitation to obtain an Entry Visa for Italy, please contact the MSRM 2009 Conference Secretariat. Please note that the letter of invitation will not constitute a commitment on the part of the Organizing Secretariat of financial support.

How to Reach Florence
By airplane - The Florence and Pisa airports are served by several international airlines. Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport is 4 Km from Florence’ city centre (the cost of a taxi ride is about Euro 25). The distance between the Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport and Florence’s city centre is about 90 Km. A shuttle train operates every hour and the duration of the trip is about one hour. By train - Eurostar trains connect Florence with Rome (1 hr and 35 min) and Milan (2 hrs and 45 min). The main railway station in Florence is located just in front of the Congress centre.

Participants eligible for refunds will be reimbursed within 60 days from the end of the congress, as per indications listed as follows:

*Hotel Accomodation - Agency booking fees will not be refunded.  Also, it is not possible to reduce the number of nights reserved after February 27, 2009. Should the number of nights reserved be reduced after February 27, 2009, the hotel will charge the cost of the full stay previously reserved
