Upon request the deadline for abstract submission has been postponted to March 31, 2009. For all those wishing to submit an abstract online please follow directions below closely. Abstract acceptance will be notified by April 17, 2009. For all accepted works, presenting authors may register at registrations fees applied in the first deadline. |
Call for abstracts for oral and poster presentations
Please take note of the following directions for the submission of your abstract. Below you will find listed all the information required for the submission of abstracts. Should the necessary data not be inserted the system will consider the abstract as 'incomplete' and the abstract will not be submitted to Scientific Board for acceptance.
Once the submission has been finalized you will receive an automated email to the email address you have indicate in your registration, confirming the reference number assigned to your abstract.
The personal details that will be inserted in the online abstract submission form will be registered by the system. Therefore you will be able to use your personal username and password to access the registration online, without having to insert all your personal details again.
- Abstract submission is open for poster presentations as well as for the "Special Session Under 35" dedicated
to younger researchers (submission limited to all authors under 35 years of age)
- Abstracts have to be submitted through the Congress' official website starting November 28th, 2008 (please see
list of important deadlines below)
- Abstracts have to be submitted in English, the congress' official language
- The title of the abstract should be listed in capital letters, exactly as you require it printed in all congress publications
- Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words, to be distributed into the following 4 paragraphs: Introduction,
Methodology, Results, Conclusions. The text has to be entered exactly as you require it printed in all congress
publications
- For each abstract you will have to indicate Main Author/Co-Author(s)/Presenting Author. For each author you
are requested to list family name, first name, organisation, country, and e-mail address or fax number (inclusive
of country prefix). NB. Should you not insert the Primary Author and the Presenting Author (ie. the person who will be presenting the abstract at the conference), the system will consider the abstract as "incomplete" and the abstract will not be submitted to the Scientific Board.
- For each abstract submitted you will be requested to indicate one main topic (to be chosen among the topics listed below, under the section "Important Deadlines")
- While submitting the abstract you will be requested to authorize the publication of the abstract, on behalf of all
authors of the abstract, on the Organizers' websites as well as on the Book of Abstracts and/or CD of Proceedings
to be published for the congress in case of acceptance. The above-mentioned publications are to be carried out
solely for scientific information purposes
- While submitting the abstract you will be requested to indicate whether the primary author of the abstract is under
35 years of age (a selection of the best abstracts for authors under 35 years of age will be assigned as oral
presentation to the "Special Session Under 35")
- Authors can send only 1 abstract as main/primary author. It is possible to be co-author in an unlimited number
of abstracts
- The publication of accepted abstracts is subordinated to 1 registration to the conference, to be paid by presenting
main/co-author for each abstract submitted. The registration should be finalized and paid by February 28th, 2009,
through the congress' web site www.msrm2009florence.org (online registration coming soon!)
Oral Presentations
The registration of presenting author should be finalized and paid for within 10 days of notification of acceptance through the congress' web site www.msrm2009florence.org
